In the end, the size advantage of Brecksville-Broadview Heights (5-0) proved too much for the Lakewood Ranger Boys’ Basketball squad (1-1), who fell 74-70 at the cavernous BBH Gym tonight. Using primarily the three point shot, the Rangers managed a narrow 4th quarter lead, but a few empty offensive possessions late in the 4th turned the tide in favor of the Bees. Many players contributed strong play in the narrow loss, led by senior Ayden Wacker had a career high of 15 points on five 3 pointers and junior Riley Ulintz was solid at point guard and led all Rangers in scoring with 16. Junior Hakeem Quran had 14 and played staunch defense. Senior Ahmed Muhammed knocked down 3 three pointers and finished with 9 points, while senior Jaquan Neal had 7. Junior Andre Hallenburg provided valuable minutes off the bench, chipping in 5.
